Please take not of the following General Application Information from SAPS, if you intend to apply for one of the positions advertised:
Only the official application form (available on the SAPS website and at SAPS Recruitment Offices) will be accepted. The Z83 previously utilised will no longer be accepted.
All instructions on the application form must be adhered to and previous criminal convictions must be declared.

Failure to do so will result in the rejection of the application
The application must be accompanied by certified copies of tertiary quahfications, academic record, Senior Certificate/Grade 12 Certificate, ID document, driver’s licence (where applicable) as well as a detailed CY.
No application will be accepted without these documents’ The post particulars and reference number of the post must be correctly specified on the application form
The residential address and qualifications of applicants will be verified and reference checking will be conducted on all shortlisted applicants
Short-listed candidates for appointment to certain identified posts will be vetted in terms of the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendmem Act, 2007 (Act No 32 of 2007) and the Children’s Act, 2005 (Act No 38 of 2005)
Acandidate whose particulars appear in either the National Register for Sex Offenders or Part Bof the Child Protection Register will be disqualified from appointment to that post
If a candidate is short-listed, it can be expected of him/her to undergo a personal interview

Applicants whose appointment win promote representivity may receive preference
The Division is under no obligation to fill a post after the advertisement thereof
Although the posts are advertised, the National Commissioner may withdraw posts from the advertisement, re-advertise the posts or fill the posts by transferring persons at the same level where this is deemed to be in the interest of service delivery

    Am. A 23 years african female who’s looking forward to working for saps and I wil be hapy to be given an opportunity to work @ saps.I was interning @ saps for 3years In hrm but am still struggling to get a job.

    I’m cst mokoena, 35years old, i have diploma in policing, am currently busy with my B-TECH in forensic investigation. I’ll be happy to be given an opportunity to work at saps forensic division in order to gain experience.

    I am a 31 years old African female, employed by SAPS, with a rank of constable with a BTECH:Forensic investigation. I am interested to work at SAPS forensic division. I do believe that with my forensic degree, I will make the SAPS proud and also increase the convection rate

    I have a B.Tech Degree in Jewellery Design and Manufacturing, but I also have a keen interest in forensics (specifically gemstone related matters) and wonder whether there are any positions available in the SAPS Forensic Department for people like me? I am prepared to get a degree in forensics

    My last question-referring to the position i applied, as soon as sat down around the table, one of the panel asked the chairperson/head on the section and said “is this post not been interviewed last week already”?-to that she answered “that was another similar post and is filled already”.How come is filled already whereas the DOCUMENTS for other posts advertised at the same time and under the same section still have to go to Pretoria Office/Admin for processing???, You mean it took 1(ONE) week to finalised and call successful candicate?

    I’m a 22 year old with Honours degree in Chemisry and currently doing Master’s in Analytical Chemistry. My target career is to work as a Forensic Researcher and Analyst, and possibly help restore our country’s dignity when it comes to the National Forensic Department after what happened infront of the whole world during The Pistorius Trial.
