Following deliberations on the DNA Bill in Parliament last week, the Portfolio Committee on Police will be presented with what is hoped will be the Final version of the DNA Bill tomorrow, 30 July 2013. If this draft is accepted over the course of the next few days, it is hoped to be taken to each of the Committee Members’ Caucuses to vote.
SITA are also expected to revert to the Committee with answers to questions posed in respect of the implementation of an appropriate software solution to support the provisions of the DNA Bill in so far as they relate to the DNA Database.
